Patient growth chart
One patient's measurements plotted on a growth chart, with a table of the percentiles and Z-scores, to print for the record. The values are those of the chart's calculator for the same measurements.

Help
Choose the chart, open the patient's file (or type the measurements), and the chart and table appear; print them, or save the file for next time. Nothing identifying leaves your computer.
The patient file
- At the top, the patient fields, one per row: Name, MRN, Date of birth, Sex, GA at birth, Note; then the Chart (Brooks CP: then the GMFCS level). The label in the first column, its value in the next.
- Then a blank row, and the measurements: a header row naming the columns, then one row per date, e.g. Date of measurement, Weight (kg), Length (cm), Head circumference (cm). Other columns are kept as they are.
- Each chart's blank template has the patient fields and that chart's columns; the example shows them filled in (a made-up patient).
- Sex: M or F (or male, female). Dates with the year, e.g. 2026-03-02, 3/2/2026 or 2-Mar-2026.
- GA at birth: weeks and days, e.g. 27 1/7 or 27+1. The preterm charts need it; on charts that offer it, it adds the corrected age.
- Measurements: in the unit named in the column's header. A cell with its own unit is read as typed, e.g. 8-4 for 8 lb 4 oz.
- Instead of dates, a column with the chart's age (Age (months), or PMA for the preterm charts) works too.
- A file with one row per date and the patient fields as columns (e.g. exported from a health record) is read too, when every row is the same patient.
- The same file serves several charts: columns a chart does not use are left out of its plots. The Chart row names the chart; when it is left empty, choose the chart on the page.
Keeping the file up to date
"Save the patient file" (CSV or Excel) saves the patient fields and measurements, with any changes made here: edits under "Edit the measurements", PediTools' column names, dates as year-month-day. Keep it; next time add the new measurements and open it here again.
"Download the table" (CSV or Excel), beside Print, saves the table of percentiles and Z-scores with the patient's identifiers, every value unrounded.
The charts
- Percentile curves: by default those of the published chart (e.g. CDC: 5th to 95th). Type others in the box, e.g. 3, 10, 50, 90, 97, or Z-scores after "Z:", e.g. Z: -2, 0, 2.
- Infant and child charts plot the chronological age; the corrected age is in the table and in a point's details.
- Combined: the chart's measurements on one page, each with its own scale. Combined, as published: the layout of the printed chart (Fenton, CDC and the WHO charts as CDC published them).
- Measurements outside the chart's ages are not plotted; the table lists them with the reason.
Printing
Print prints the chart on screen (the selected tab, with its view and curves), followed by the table unless "Include the table" is unticked; on the Table tab, the table. The page opens on the combined chart. In the print dialog: portrait, Letter or A4, scale 100%, default margins. In Safari, save as PDF and print the PDF if a page runs over.
What is sent
Your file is read by this page in your browser and is never uploaded. To calculate, the page sends PediTools only sex, the GA at birth, the ages (dates of birth and of measurement are turned into ages in days in your browser) and the measurements. Names, record numbers, dates, notes and other columns stay in your browser, and the printout and the downloads are made there.
PediTools calculates and returns the results; nothing is stored or logged.
